THe Kudu Kaya Chalets are in Cambria, 45 km from Patensie, on the road to Willowmore, at the entry to the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. The chalets and campsites are both located on the working citrus farm "Ysrivier", owned by Petrus and Helene van der Watt. Enjoy our hospitality in a safe environment. Day trips into the adjacent Baviaanskloof Nature Conservation Area to view wild animals and the magnificent scenery can be arranged.

Accommodation on the farm is six sefully equipped chalets Kudu Kaya, Swartland Cottage, Die Houthuis, Bobbejaan, Aalwyn and Geelhout or at numerous scenic campsites next to a mountain stream.

Kudu Kaya

The Kudu Kaya, which is situated next to the farm yard can sleep up to 10 people with ample living room to spare.

It comes equipped as follows:

  • 1st Bedroom: one double bed
  • 2nd Bedroom: 1 double and 3 single beds
  • 3rd Bedroom: 4 single beds
  • 2 Bathrooms each with : shower, toilet and hand basin
  • A large living/sitting room and kitchen
  • Ceiling fan in the living room

Swartland

This three-bedroomed, two bathrooms, self-catering lodge comfortably sleeps eight. One bedroom has a double bed, the second a double bed and one single and the third three single beds. Relax in the sitting room or enjoy the outside life on the large stoep with its built-in braai and worktop.

Relax in the rustic atmosphere underneath the large yellow wood trees. There is a large braai also in the shade.

This three-bedroomed, two bathrooms, self-catering wooden house sleeps up to eight.

The chalet stands on its own beside a grove of white stinkwood trees and the spacious stoep looks straight out onto a kloof in the mountain.

It comes equipped as follows:

  • 2nd Bedroom: one double bed
  • 3rd Bedroom: three single beds
  • 2 Bathrooms: shower, bath, 2 toilets and 2 hand basin
