Glenmore is a delightful retreat with a choice of five different and comparatively easy farm trails that include rocky terrain, stream crossings and the possibility of some serious mud on the River Trail.
We managed to bog a Toyota Prado for a couple of hours, mainly through a novice's mistake, and had to hitch a ride with a tractor.
The incident did nothing to dampen our enthusiasm for a drive rich in scenic delights with the bonus of 79 bird species identified on the property. It is ideal for a quiet weekend away from it all in the Little Karoo, knowing that warm country hospitality awaits you.
