Benita has an eye for the unusual and collects peculiar shaped pieces of wood and transforms them into statues. This artist was born in the Baviaanskloof and has received no formal training. She is currently unemployed and also derives an income from baking cakes for farmers in the area. Her dream is to open her own shop and bakery where she can sell her goods and so support her family.
